Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California at the age of five. She was raised mainly in Orange County. Her big break occurred in 2015 when she graduated with degrees from University of California San Diego. Pernas played small roles in NCIS and Leverage. She then landed the part of Marisa at The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap opera Jane the Virgin in 2016, the actress was cast in the role of Catalina as a character who featured on the show often. The model, proficient in four languages has appeared since on The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Pernas was the character Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure between the years of 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas has been dating her former The Young and the Restless actor Justin Hartley. The couple began dating after Hartley's This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Pernas Hartley got married in secret with Pernas in the month of May 2021.
