Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be among the top gymnasts. Biles was raised within Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. She and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was interested in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl when she took a field trip for day care to Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for eleven years under supervision of coach Aimee Boorman. Biles won the vault and floor exercises at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the elite competition level in the year 2011. The following year, Biles dominated the sport. Biles stood out for her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficulty she encountered in all four events including vaulting, uneven bars and the balance beam.
